Discover Dilijan
Haghartsin Monastery
The Armenian monastery is located 18 km from the city of Dilijan, in the wooded valley of the Ijevan ridge. It was built in the XI-XIII centuries. When viewed from a height, the monastery, lost among the forests of the valley of the Dilijan ridge, looks like a stunning mysterious island. The architectural complex includes three churches and other monastic buildings.
Lake Parz
The word "parz" is translated from Armenian as "clean" or "transparent", which perfectly describes the local places of Dilijan. The lake is located right in the middle of the mountain forests of the reserve.
Lake Parz is located at an altitude of more than one kilometer. It is the largest natural attraction of the resort town. The lake is surrounded by dense forests, and the trees right by its shores create a reflection in its calm water surface. It feeds on springs and precipitation.
Old Town - Sharambeyan Street
Sharambeyan Street is the main and, in fact, the only tourist street in Dilijan – the so-called Old Town. The street was recreated in 1970, and in 2004 it was reconstructed. The street, though very tiny, is insanely atmospheric with old houses and photogenic carved balconies. It is often called the street of artisans, and this is not surprising. There are workshops, souvenir shops with handmade goods at every step, and even an art gallery. You can rent a budget car from Green Road rent car Armenia and enjoy your vacation.
