Republic Square
Republic Square is the central square and the main architectural complex of Yerevan, the capital of Armenia.
The square has two parts:
  • circular movement;
  • trapezoidal shape with musical fountains.
The square is surrounded by five main buildings made of pink and white tuff in the neoclassical style with distinctive Armenian motifs.
This architectural ensemble includes:
  • The building of the Government of Armenia;
  • Armenian History Museum and National Gallery;
  • Marriott Hotel;
  • The central post office building;
  • Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Transport and Communications.
The area covers an area of about 30,000 square meters. meters.
Freedom Square
Freedom Square is also known as Opera Square. In the central Kentron district. One of the city's public centers, along with Republic Square, is one of the two main squares of the city. Freedom Square is adjacent to the southern end of the building of the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater.
Cascade
Architectural and monumental complex in Yerevan. It is a cascade of five open terraces. It connects the central Kentron district with the Kanaker-Zeitoun district. Designed by architects Jim Torosyan, Aslan Mkhitaryan and Sargis Gurzadyan, the construction of the cascade began in 1971 and was partially completed in 1980.

Northern Avenue
