Lake Kari, or as it is also called Karigol, is located on the slope of Mount Aragats near the southern peak of Aragats at an altitude of approximately 3,200 meters above sea level. The depth here is about 9 meters, and the area of the lake is 0.12 km².Lake Kari translated from Armenian means “stone lake”; this natural attraction received this nickname due to its rocky shore. The lake is of glacial origin, so the water here is quite cool. It is unlikely that anyone will want to swim even on the hottest day, although this is quite possible.
